Phoenix Contact and aicas Unlock Turnkey Industrial IoT with First All-In-One Controller and Software Offer

KARLSRUHE and BLOMBERG GERMANY – aicas GmbH and Phoenix Contact Group are reducing the barriers to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) deployment with the addition of aicas’ JamaicaAMS embedded software for PLCnext Controls in the PLCnext Store at https://www.plcnextstore.com/1279.

The companies announced that aicas’ embedded software product for realtime performance for critical IoT applications will be available for download at Phoenix Contact’s PLCnext Store as a turnkey solution for deploying IoT applications, such as predictive maintenance or anomaly detection using Phoenix Contact PLCnext hardware. aicas’ software will initially be available on demand for use with the AXC F 2152 controller for the Axioline I/O system, which supports device-to-cloud connectivity for maximum performance, easy management and reliable use even in harsh industrial environments.

PLCnext Technology is the open ecosystem for industrial automation. With a combination of open control technology, modular engineering software, a digital software marketplace and an online community, this solution allows users to adapt easily to changing demands and to use existing and future software services efficiently.

aicas has a 20-year track record of proven performance with more than 23 million devices connected to date. As a go-to-resource for flexibility, reducing the time spent developing, and day-to-day management of embedded systems, aicas’ software ensures higher application availability and reduced lifecycle costs. Developers who use Phoenix Contact PLCs will be able to write native, Java-based code using aicas’ IoT framework, and further, will have access to aicas’ Edge Suite for advanced device and app management, such as adding more IoT with the ability to manage them in groups.

“The availability of our embedded software solutions in a digital marketplace is enabling systematic integration that companies need to stay ahead,” said Dr. James J. Hunt, CTO of aicas. “This partnership is creating a simplified path to the tools for efficient, effective and successful embedded software deployment, and enables customers to meet the market demands for efficiency, quality, and compatibility to get their IoT application development off the ground.”

Customers can anticipate licenses for aicas software in the PLCnext Store since October 2021.
