Release of JamaicaVM 8.8 and JamaicaAMS 1.1

aicas GmbH announces the release of JamaicaVM 8.8 and JamaicaAMS 1.1.

JamaicaVM, a realtime Java software development kit for embedded systems, has received a significant performance boost for its latest release.

The JamaicaAMS Java microservice framework is now available for a much wider range of embedded systems. JamaicaAMS is now available for x86_64 and AArch64 systems. The QNX realtime operating system is now supported on x86_64 and AArch64 architectures. As a contributor to the EU project Together for RISc-V Technology and ApplicatioNs (TRISTAN), JamaicaAMS is now also available on RISC-V systems.

JamaicaAMS enables easy and flexible updating and reconfiguration of embedded systems, remotely and at any time during runtime, without interrupting operation. The application management system is a framework for component-based applications based on aicas’ proven JamaicaVM. JamaicaAMS enables the management of modularized, service-oriented applications as well as controlling and updating of individual software components.

aicas JamaicaAMS has been evaluated and approved by AWS and is now a qualified software to run on AWS cloud services.
